California Highway Patrol responded to a paw-destrian on a busy freeway last month, rescuing a little black kitten.
North Sacramento officers spotted the kitten on a busy freeway while traffic was moving. An officer slowed traffic to a halt before approaching the kitten and picking it up.
“Thankfully, the cat was safely rescued before curiosity could get the best of it. No ladder truck required,” California Highway Patrol wrote on Facebook.
“We’ll leave the cats stuck in trees to our friends at the fire department.”
